Happy Friday!

I am so glad this week is over.I am seeing green grass outside since the snow is finally melting.I am really hoping it is a sign that spring is coming.

I am so over winter

and sick kids.Makayla has bronchitis and Mack has been home since tuesday with it as well.Now she has a higher fever and says her chest hurts....I know where this is going.
Pneumonia..she gets is often ever since she had a collapsed lung in 2006.I was sun and flowers and healthy kiddos that can play outside.This winter has been so cold and so full of snow.I hope I never see this much snow ever again!!

Winter Break is over...

Winter Break is over and the girls are back in school.We did not do much but had fun as a family.We are all sick of the snow and ready for spring.Especially since we live at the beach.We had some friends over Saturday night and had some good food and played Wii.They went home early so we watched movies and the olympics.This morning Makayla woke up coughing and really wheezy and congested.We decided since she had fever to take her to the dr.He said she has bronchitis.She is sicker than I have ever seen her.She is wheezy and crying alot and wants to only be held by me.(so typing one handed here)
I really hope she is better soon as it breaks my heart to see her like this.

TGIF!!!

It has been one of those kinds of weeks.The Kids were out of school and it has done nothing but SNOW.IF I never see another snowflake I would be very happy.No such luck as it is going to snow all week.Oh well spring is out there somewhere.
Mack is getting really good at cleaning her room and having chores.She is becoming such a prissy young lady.
Deanna starts all new classes this week and is kinda worried about it.She will be fine as long as she asks questions.
Makayla has learned something new.When she doesnt like what you do or say she hisses at you with her little hands up like claws.It is so funny to see.
Soren went for an interview yesterday and they called him back today.They want him to take a personality test.I hope he gets the job.

Makayla Ice Skating

We have a man made ice rink outdoors that is free if you have your own skates.The girls love it and today we took them skating.Mack forgot the adjuster to her skates so she watched a bit and will go back tomorrow and Makayla loved it.Here is Makayla with her snowman that helps new skaters

It is my birthday and what a day.We had planned on guests coming and staying over for mexican food and margarita's.Well that changed when Miss Mack woke up at 2 am sick.I felt so bad for her.It was a great day though.We spent the day together and I had many many birthday wishes from all my friends.(on facebook,on fellowship and emails).I felt so happy to have so many people think of me.
I got some pretty neat gifts.Soren got me a travel iron.Those that know me and my OCD will understand but still chuckle at it.Mack drew me some pictures and Makayla via Daddy got me some pretty flowers.Deanna and Mack made me a gift basket of candy,a beer,bottle of soda,bottle of water,bag of chips and other little things.
I made dinner and then some drinks and since we have so much snow I chilled the margaritas in the snow..see it is helpful after all.

Happy Hump Day!!

It is the middle of the week and it is going pretty good for us so far...ok it was until hubby wanted me to drive the car..
Um hello dear hubby I am from Texas and we do not have snow.I have driven on light snow before but not in the 2ft drifts like we have now.
I got in the car put it in gear(we have a manual drive) and yup you guessed right I got stuck lol.I just barely moved the wheel to the right and wham hello snowbank.So we changed drivers because it was really really stuck..like no going forward or backwards.So hubby tries and its going nowhere.A nice big mountain of a man came to help and it was still stuck.Next the post man comes and he helps and we are finally free.WooHoo.
Off to town we go and it is snowing again....our area has walking streets so we had to walk in the snow.I am glad to be back in my warm house again

The house we rent was removed from the market!!!!
so no worries about moving and we are trying to buy it.
I am so happy about some good news in our life.We soooooooo needed it....

How I met my Hubby

Since I have met many new friends that are curious how this Texan ended up in Denmark so I will share a bit about us
It starts back in 1997 when I started suffering more with my RA and Lupus.I became beriden and my parents bought me a computer to find info and support.I found several support groups and made new friends.My oldest daughter was having a hard time with ADHD and Aspergers as well.A friend from my Lupus support also has AS so she sent me to IRC and a AS support group.There is where I met M(I will call her that for privacy).She and her mom were great and I loved talking with them.She was dating via the net my lovely hubby Xride(his nickname).So back to the RA/lupus,I was in pretty bad shape and I met some people via my support group in sweden and decided I needed to go there to get some much needed help.(I am leaving out a bunch of ugly details that dont need to be aired here)So in Feb 2001 I went and got alot of answers and met Xride and a whole group of others while I was there.We remained friends and when I left my ex in aug of 2001(thats where the ugly details come in) I moved in with my now Mother in law.Xride and I were friends and waited until my divorce was final and then tested the waters.I was 34 and had 4 kids and he was 23.He is the most awesome man alive.We married in June 2002 and had our first daughter Mackenzie in may 2003,angel baby in 2005 and Makayla aka Stinky in 2008.He is the best dad and hubby I could ask for.He does alot for us and well he just rocks :)
