Good Bye 2009

2009 has been a wild year. Our family has had health issues, job issues, death and just regular old family issues. It was my first year of taking a fun hobby and making a business out of it(I sure will be glad when I start making some money at it)I have met so many new people and made a few new friends while doing this.We also traveled to new places. We moved to a new place as the old one was making everyone sick.It was affecting Makayla the most.We sad good bye to my Grandmother as she passed in sept.I started blogging more and made more new friends.Christmas was even more special this year as we got to have Desiree and her hubby here.
Life is good and we are all feeling better.
So I hope everyone stays safe and has a great day today as we say good bye to 2009 and welcome 2010 with open arms and open hearts.
Happy New Years Everyone!

Merry Christmas !!!

My oldest daughter Desiree and hubby Lars are here for Christmas. We were going to have turkey last night but after 2 days it was still frozen so we had duck since it was thawed out.Des and Lars have been helping us unpack and hang pictures so we worked all day on that.Last night Santa came and we opened gifts and then ate.The kids loves the Zsu Zsu pets .Macks favorite was her Little Pet Shop house.Makayla's was her vaccum and boy did she love that.It went right to her crib with her.Deanna loves everything but the best gift was a Swiffer.(ok not her fav but the one that got the best reaction lol).I have more to post about some gifts from my BFF Amy but need more room on the hard drive
Here are some pics.Excuse the mess as we are still unpacking.

Moving in the snow...

Let me tell you about moving in 2 feet of snow...NOT FUN
It never ever ever snows like that here E.V.E.R.
but it did thursday ...and boy did it.We got the keys friday hoping things would look up....yea they looked up if you fell on the ice.We have only done about 2 or 3 loads a day and we have a small covered trailer since it is snowing. We are almost done thank goodness. We love the new house and all is great.
It is so nice to have closets again.OMG How I missed closets.I love not having to go up and down stairs and the girls each having their own space.
I was really worried about Makayla adjusting. She had been in our room since birth and slept with a tv on (Its my fault as I need noise). She has been AWESOME.She went to sleep in her crib the first night with a radio on and we never looked back.Tonight she went to her room and called "Daddy" and was trying to get IN the bed.He put her in and she went right to sleep. Here are some pics of the empty house

Virtual Cookie Exchange

This is a virtual cookie exchange hosted by Tracy/Gothic Butterfly.
HERE is her blog so check out all the recipes

Klejner (a yummy danish cookie)
3 Eggs
1 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup cream
1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon cardamom
2 teaspoons baking powder

Blend softened butter and sugar, then stir in the eggs and cream. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together, then add to first mixture. This should make a soft dough, yet stiff enough to roll. Rollout to about 1/4 inch thickness and cut into diamond shapes with the Fattigman Cutter. Make a slit in the center and pull one point through the slit. Cook in deep fat until brown. Danes like to use a long knitting needle to turn these and to lift them from the fat. A special cutter for cutting these can be purchased and is called Klejner Cutter or Fattigman Cutter.
3 1/2 cups flour.

December in Denmark

I love sharing the traditions of Denmark with everyone.
Here is a link about all the fun stuff happening in Denmark in december

Moving on !!!!

Wow december is going by super fast.Last night was a Christmas Party for non Danish people and their Danish partners/spouses.It was nice getting out and meeting some new people.Santa even made a visit to the kids there.Today we are packing.I dread packing and especially this time of year.Oh well it is for the best.A new house with 4bedrooms!!!!Yes every child gets their own room WOOOOOOT.
It has 2 bathrooms as well.We all know how important that is with 3 girls in the house. The absolute best part is that it is one story. No stairs for me to fall down and get hurt.I just wish my parents could be here to help us.

Almost there but felt like monday.

We ordered the cash register yesterday.I am so excited to get it.They are programming it as we speak...but today felt like a monday. No really it did
Let me tell you about it.
We took Mackenzie to visit her new school this morning. We dropped of Makayla and headed out.The kids seemed to like her but she didnt want to stay today. She will start after the holidays.
We came back home and I just started eating breakfast and the new landlord called. The guy was there to lay the fiber for internet so off we go (about a 15/20 min trip).
Realize I have left some things at home I go back and get them and Deanna since she is out of school early.
We just got back and ordered lunch when the daycare called.Stinky was fevered and not very active..so we go back home and get her.I stay home and Soren goes back after the other kids.I am soooooo staying home tomorrow
